On March 25, the delegation visited the Ottawa Research and Development Centre (ORDC). The visit included a field survey of experimental farming models to explore advanced technological solutions in modern agriculture. Scheduled for March 26, the delegation will meet with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to focus on quality control and food safety standards—critical components of the global agricultural value chain. In the afternoon, the mission will continue discussions with Global Affairs Canada regarding international cooperation orientations, trade policies, and market connectivity. Furthermore, the delegation is set to work with SAFEGRO, a food safety project organization, to study public-private partnership (PPP) models in the sector.

Following the activities in Ottawa, the delegation will travel to Vancouver to survey retail distribution systems and assess market demand for agricultural products. This segment of the trip aims to foster stronger links between academic training, scientific research, and international market realities.

The mission will proceed to Mexico for working sessions with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Mexico and various agribusiness associations. Key discussions will center on promoting agri-trade, enhancing value chain development, and applying high-tech solutions. A primary focus will be expanding educational and research collaboration between institutions and organizations from both countries.

This official visit by Rector Nguyen Trung Viet not only strengthens international partnerships in agriculture and the environment but also unlocks significant opportunities for academic networking, scientific research, and technology transfer. These efforts are pivotal in enhancing Thuyloi University’s global prestige and fostering deeper international integration in the coming years.
