Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Myanmar, Lao PDR, Cambodia, Vietnam and China (only from Yunnan Province)
• First-class (honors) Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in civil engineering, water resources engineering, environmental engineering, or water related applied sciences
• English Proficiency: IELTS or AIT EET score ≥ 6.0

General Requirements

• Cover letter
• Proposal (4 pages maximum) on water, wastewater and use of PVC pipes
• Brief CV
• Certified copies of Bachelor and Masters transcripts and certificates
• Names and contact information of at least two referees

Opportunities

• Students will have opportunity to visit College of Water Sciences, BNU, China after completion of course work at AIT
• Students will have opportunity to work under joint supervision of AIT and  BNU faculty members

Coverage

• Full tuition fee waiving
• Bursary ($600/month) and accommodation allowance ($300/month) in BNU, China
• Living costs and other costs (~$10,000) for 1 year at AIT are to be borne by the student or external donor
